Instructions: Brown meat. Add celery, onion and spices. Stir often for about 10-15 mins. on medium heat. Use fresh spices from a Mexican store or mail order spices like Penzeys for much better flavor. Then add:
1/2 cup ketchup 1 (28 oz.) can of diced tomatoes 1 (28 oz.) can of water (add a little at a time for thickness you desire) 1 (10 oz.) can of undiluted tomato soup 1 (16 oz.) can of dark red kidney beans 1 x (15 oz.) can pinto beans 2 (15 oz.) cans traditional style refried beans (use one w/green chilies for spicier flavor) Stir well and cook, uncovered, for at least one hour or until desired thickness.
