Ingredients:

1/2 lb Ground beef
1/4 cup Uncooked long-grain rice
1 x Egg, beaten
1/8 tsp Black pepper
1/2 cup Water
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) whole tomatoes, broken up
1 env ( 1 oz.) onion soup mix
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp Dried thyme leaves
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
Instructions:
Instructions: In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, rice, egg and black pepper. Shape into 1 inch meatballs and place on a baking sheet or piece of waxed paper; set aside.

In a medium saucepan, combine water, tomatoes, onion soup mix, Italian seasoning, thyme and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Carefully drop the meatballs into the boiling stew mixture and gently stir in shell pasta.

Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer 25 minutes, or until meatballs are cooked through and pasta is tender.

Makes 4 servings
