Instructions: Brown beef in cooking oil in large pot or Dutch oven.
Add water, ketchup, vinegar and brown sugar. Stir. Cover. Boil slowly for 1 1/4 hours. Add carrot, onion, salt and pepper. Stir. Cover. Boil gently for 30 to 40 minutes until beef and vegetables are tender. Makes 4 1/2 cups Email this Recipe:
