Instructions: 1. In a mixing bowl, cream the margarine (or butter) and sugar; add flour, vanilla, pecans and salt. Mix well. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
2. Bake in preheated 325-degree oven for 17-20 minutes or until lightly browned. 3. Cool cookies slightly before rolling them in the confectioners sugar. Yield: About 12 dozen.
