Instructions: Sift together the flour, cornflour and salt and set aside.
Cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla until very soft. Add half the sifted ingredients and blend well, add the remainder and mix to a smooth dough. Spoon the mixture into a large piping bag fitted with a star nozzle and pipe onto a buttered tray or drop by teaspoonful, not too close to allow for spreading. Place in the center of a moderate oven (350F) and bake for 15-20 minutes or until just beginning to brown. Remove gently from the baking tray and allow to cool on a wire rack. Icing: Beat the butter until soft and gradually beat in the sieved icing sugar and a few drops of coloring (filling should be very pale pink). Sandwich similar sized biscuits together in pairs with icing. Email this Recipe:
