1/2 lb extra-lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 tbl instant minced onion
1 can whole tomatoes (16 ounce) undrained
1 cup drained cooked kidney beans
1 tsp chili powder (1 to 2)
1/2 tsp salt

TIPS

1. Combine ground beef, green pepper, and onion in l 1/2-quart microwave-safe casserole.

2. MICROWAVE (high), uncovered, 3-4 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, stirring once.

Add tomatoes, beans, chili powder, salt, and paprika; mix well.

3. MICROWAVE (high), uncovered, 11-12 minutes or until hot and bubbly and flavors are blended, stirring once.

* Use half of a 16-ounce can of beans or an 8-ounce can. Leftovers can be frozen for another use.

* Ground turkey can be substituted for beef.

NOTES : Always a family favorite.
