Instructions: Divide corn between two 4-quart glass containers. Set aside. In a 2-quart casserole, combine brown sugar, syrup, salt and butter. Microwave on full power (high), uncovered, 3 to 3 1/2 minutes or until mixture boils. Stir once.
Microwave on 1/3 power (defrost) 4 minutes. Stir in baking soda. Pour 1/2 of syrup evenly over each bowl of corn. Sprinkle with 1 cup of nuts each. Stir lightly to coat. Microwave with 1/2 power, one bowl at a time, uncovered, 6 to 7 minutes or until lightly toasted. Stir twice. NOTE: May use 2/3 cup raw or toasted sunflower seeds.
