Ingredients:

2 tbl butter
1 med onion, coarsely chopped
1 med green bell pepper, coarsely chopped
1 lb cooked Polish sausage, sliced
1 lb frozen large shrimp
1 can tomatoes, undrained & cut up
(16 oz.)
1 can condensed chicken broth, (10 3/4 oz.)
1 can tomato paste, (6 oz.)
3/4 cup regular rice, uncooked
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp thyme leaves
Tabasco sauce, to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp pepper
Instructions:
Instructions: In a large saucepan, melt margarine and saute onions until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients; blend well. Cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Great with cornbread!

Makes 8 servings.
