Instructions: Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Combine egg and milk; add all at once to flour mixture. Mix until dough forms a soft ball. Turn dough onto floured counter and knead lightly about 10 or 12 times. (The secret to biscuits is to not over mix or knead dough). Roll out to 3/4 inch thickness. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen, put in plastic bags and store in freezer.
To Cook: Place frozen biscuits on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake at 475 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Email this Recipe:
