Instructions: PASTRY: In mixing bowl, measure flour and salt together. Quarter margarine and shortening into cubes and add to bowl. Work the dough by hand, adding buttermilk a tablespoon at a time until kneaded to a pliable dough consistency. Cover and refrigerate.
FILLING: In mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. Take dough and divide it into 6 equal balls. On floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4" thickness. Place 1/6 of the filling mixture on dough and fold dough in half, forming a half-moon shape. Pinch edges together and prick dough with a fork. Repeat until all are filled.
