Instructions: Wash beans: place beans, water and bouillon cubes in a stockpot. Bring slowly to a boil: simmer, covered 1 1/2 hours or until tender. Heat the oil in a large skillet, add onion, celery and chopped garlic. Saute 5 minutes, stirring often. Add to beans, add remaining ingredients except Parmesan. Simmer covered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle each serving with Parmesan (optional).
