Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
175 gm cabbage
1 lrg onion
1 lrg carrot
2 x celery sticks
2 x courgettes
3 x tomatoes skinned
50 gm streaky bacon derinded
2 tbl oil
2 clv garlic crushed
3/4 lt water
4 x sage or basil leaves chopped
75 gm rice (Small pasta may be used instead of rice.)
2 tbl chopped parsley
2 tbl grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
Instructions: Shred the cabbage; chop the other vegetables and the bacon.

Heat the oil in a large saucepan add the bacon onion carrot celery and garlic and fry gently stirring frequently for about 10 minutes.

Add the water bring to the boiland add the cabbage courgettes tomatoes sage or basil and rice.

Continue cooking gently for 20 minutes.

Stir in the parsley cheese and salt and pepper to taste.

Serve with extra Parmesan cheese and crusty bread.
