Instructions: Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff. Add food coloring to desired color of green.
Lightly fold in chocolate mint chips. Drop by teaspoon full onto lined baking sheet. Place in 350-degree oven; turn off heat. Leave in oven at least 5 hours or overnight. Note: for plain meringues, do not add food coloring and substitute regular chocolate chips for the mint. Email this Recipe:
