Instructions: In a large bowl combine berries and currants.
Whisk all dressing ingredients together. In a medium bowl toss radicchio with 2 tablespoons dressing. Toss remaining dressing with berry mixture. Arrange radicchio around edge of a platter. Mound berries in center. Sprinkle with pepper. Currants come in three main colours: black used mainly for jams and cassis; the rare white species a less acidic and consequently sweet albino of the red; and tart crimsons which give this salad its complexity of taste and texture.
