Instructions: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 9-inch round cake pan with waxed paper; grease paper. In medium bowl, combine sugar, cocoa and margarine; beat until well blended. Add cake meal, almonds, instant coffee and water; mix until smooth. (Batter will be thick.) In another medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff
peaks form. Fold into chocolate mixture until well blended. Spread mixture evenly in greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack. Just before serving, place torte on serving plate. Top with sliced strawberries; brush with melted jelly. Store in refrigerator.
