Instructions: IN A LARGE BOWL COMBINE FLOUR, OATS, BROWN SUGAR, BAKING SODA, SALT AND MELTED BUTTER. BLEND WELL TO FORM CRUMBLY MIXTURE. PRESS HALF THE MIXTURE INTO BOTTOM OF A 9 X 13 PAN. BAKE AT 350 DEG F. FOR 10 MINUTES. REMOVE AND SPRINKLE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS AND NUTS. COMBINE CARAMEL TOPPING AND 3 T FLOUR. POUR EVENLY OVER CHIPS. SPRINKLE WITH THE REMAINING OAT MIXTURE AND BAKE FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTES. COOL COMPETELY BEFORE CUTTING INTO BARS. BAKE AT 350 DEG F. FOR A TOTAL OF 30 TO 35 MINUTES.
