Instructions: Preheat oven to 350F.
Place all the egg whites & cream of tartar in a large bowl. Whip with an electric mixer until the egg whites form stiff peaks. Using a wire whisk, gently stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour into an angel food cake pan or bundt cake pan. Bake for 45 minutes. Turn off the oven & let the cake sit in the oven for 15 minutes to brown. Turn the pan upside down over a cake plate. Cover with a damp cloth to help loosen the cake. Let sit for 1 hour, then remove the pan. Variations: Any flavor of extract can be used. Double the amount to 2 teaspoons if desired.
