2 x Oranges, peel of, finely shredded
1 cup Sugar, divided
2 cup Flour
3 tsp Baking powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/3 cup Milk, about
Instructions:
Instructions: Put orange peel inn saucepan and cover with water, adding 1/2 cup of sugar.

Simmer until tender. Remove peel and cook liquid down to about 1/3 cup. In mixing bowl combine rest of sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Ad milk to orange syrup to make 2/3 cup liquid and mix with 1 egg. Stir all ingredients together with orange peel. Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 for 45 minutes.
