Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
2 cup Dried Beans (black, kidney, garbonzos, or a mix)
1/2 tsp Salt
1 lrg Onion, chopped
1 cl Garlic, crushed
1/2 lb Meaty Ham Hock
2 cup Chopped Fresh Tomatoes
1 x Jalapeno Pepper, chopped
3 tbl Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Instructions:
Instructions: Wash beans and put in a large stockpot. Add water to cover and add salt.

Soak overnight.

Drain and add remaining ingredients. Simmer over low to medium heat for 3-4 hours or until tender. Remove ham hock. Pick meat off bone and return meat to pot. Discard bone and fat. Soup is ready to serve.
