Meanwhile, prepare the vegetables. Add vegetables to boiling water and boil for 1 minutes. Break the noodle block into 4 pieces. Add it to the water and vegetables. Bring to a boil. Add garlic, ginger and seasoning packet to the soup. Cover. Turn off heat and let stand for 2 to 3 minutes. Microwave the frozen chicken. Slice and dice and shread into tiny pieces. Transfer to the soup. Season soup with additional teriyaki sauce, a drop or two of aromatic sesame oil and fresh cilantro. Serve hot. VARIATIONS: Replace chicken with shrimp; tofu; portobella mushrooms; or vegetables such as sweet potato or squash. Try zucchini, green bean and almonds. Napa cabbage and carrots. Baby spinach and turnips. NOTES : Its dinner in 10 minutes. Our idea of fast food comes in a cellophane package: noodles ramen. Our favorite is mushroom flavored. Most of the time we add carrot, celery, green onion and precooked teriyaki chicken. Augment the soup with what is on hand. Try the variations mentioned. A great vegetarian variation is to zap a sweet potato in the microwave and toss chunks with a little teriyaki. Email this Recipe:
