Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
455 gm mushrooms
60 gm butter or margarine
15 gm flour
140 ml single cream
1 x salt and pepper
1 pch ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Instructions: Clean trim and slice or quarter the mushrooms.

Fry in the butter until softened.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually add the cream stirring all the time.

Still stirring heat the sauce very gently until thickened.

Season carefully with salt pepper and nutmeg.

Pour into a warmed serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley.

Serves 4

Note: the creamed mushrooms are also delicious used as a filling for omelettes and pancakes
