Instructions: Cut loaves of bread in half and pick white part out into large bowl or pot, keeping pieces medium small.
Melt margarine in large frying pan. Add onions, poultry seasoning, and chicken broth. Simmer on medium low heat until onions are clear and limp. When done, slowly pour on top of picked bread pieces, stirring continuously. Jamies Note: We make our stuffing bread in the bread machine, adding a little poultry seasoning to a basic white loaf. The recipe is basically 1 stick of butter per loaf of bread. Thanksgiving 2000, I caramelized the onions in the butter...not just cooking until softened. Email this Recipe:
