1 cup brown sugar
5 tbl butter
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Instructions: Cook brown sugar, butter, and milk in medium saucepan over mediumhigh heat. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally, and boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the bubbling to stop. Add vanilla. Add powdered sugar gradually. At this point it will look thin, but as soon as you start spreading it on the cake it hardens very quickly! This makes enough for a 9 x 12 cake or the top and middle of a 2-layer cake (so you will want to double it for a 2-layer).
