Instructions: Grease one large tube pan. Cream together butter & shortening, add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add sugar a little at a time until all is added.

Sift flour, salt & baking powder & alternate adding mixture & milk to the creamed mixture until all is added. Add vanilla & lemon juice & beat well.

Turn oven on to 350 & put cake in immediately-no preheating necessary.

Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Remember, ovens vary-check after 1 hour.
