3 cup cider vinegar
1/2 tbl ketchup
3 tbl brown sugar
2 tbl coarse salt
1/2 tbl Tabasco sauce
(or other hot sauce)
1/2 tsp hot red pepper flakes - (to 1 tbspn) or more to taste
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine ingredients in a nonreactive mixing bowl; whisk until salt and brown sugar dissolve. Taste for seasoning, adding hot pepper flakes as necessary.

Transfer sauce to clean (or even sterile) jars; refrigerate. It will keep for several months.

Yield: 3 1/2 cups
