Ingredients:

3 x to 4 cups fresh or frozen fruit, thawed (such as sliced peaches, sliced strawberries, sliced plums, blackberries, blueberries and/or raspberries)
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup whole milk
Instructions:
Instructions: Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 [degrees].

Step 2: Place butter in a 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Heat in oven for 5 minutes or until butter is melted. Remove baking dish from the oven.

Step 3: Stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add milk and stir until just combined. Pour over melted butter in baking dish (do not stir).

Step 4: Spoon fruit atop batter.

Step 5: Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown and toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.

Step 6: Serve warm or at room temperature with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Makes 6 servings.
