1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup Molasses
1/4 cup Melted butter or butter substitute
1 x Egg, well beaten
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tbl Brown sugar
1 cup Sweet milk
2 cup Flour
1 tsp Ginger
1 tsp Baking soda
Instructions:
Instructions: Sift flour, measure, and sift with baking soda, salt, and ginger. Combine 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, molasses, butter, and eggs. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to sugar and molasses mixture. Beat until well blended. Pour into well-oiled baking pan. Sprinkle with nuts and 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar. Bake in moderate oven (375 F) about 30 minutes.
