Yield:
16 to 18 biscuits
Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
110 gm porridge oats
260 gm mixed dried fruit
25 gm chopped nuts any kind walnuts hazelrauts etc
60 gm soft brown sugar
75 gm flour
1/4 tsp salt
150 gm butter or margarine
1 x rounded teaspoon golden syrup
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tbl boiling water
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to gas mark 4 350F 80C.

Sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl then add the oats dried fruit nuts and sugar and mix well.

Then in a small saucepan gently melt the butter and syrup together.

While this is happening mix the bicarbonate of soda in a cup with 2 tablespoons of boiling water.

Now stir the melted fat and syrup into the dry ingredients followed by the water mixture followed by the vinegar.

Mix thoroughly and simply drop teaspoonfuls of the mixture onto 2 greased baking trays.

Bake the biscuits in the centre of the oven for 25-30 minutes.

Makes 16 to 18 biscuits
