1 tbl oil
1/2 lb beef stew meat cut 3/4" cubes
4 med carrots cut 1/2" slices
3 med potatoes with peel cut 1/2" cubes
1/2 cup frozen pearl onions from 16 oz package
1 x celery rib cut 1" slices
3 cup vegetable juice cocktail
3 tbl quick-cooking tapioca
1 tsp beef-flavor instant bouillon
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp freshly-ground black pepper
Instructions:
Instructions: In large skillet heat oil over medium-high heat until hot. Add beef; cook 4 to 6 minutes or until browned.

In 3 1/2- or 4-quart slow cooker, combine browned beef and all remaining ingredients; mix well. Cover, cook on LOW for 9 to 10 hours or until beef and vegetables are tender.

This recipe yields 5 servings.
