Instructions: Place half of pears in food processor bowl or 5 cup blender container.
Process until finely chopped (1 to 2 minutes). Place chopped pears in Dutch oven. Repeat with remaining pears. Stir in all remaining ingredients. Cook over medium heat until pears are very soft and mixture thickens (30 to 40 minutes). Serve warm or cold on pancakes, waffles, toast or warm breads. Store refrigerated. Yield 2 - 1/2 cups.
