1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 x eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup flour sifted
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Cream together the shortening & sugar. Beat the eggs lightly & blend into sugar mixture. Stir in sour cream & vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, salt & baking soda together & stir into cremed mixture. cover & chill in refrigerator 1 hour or longer.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Drop cookie mixture by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Cook on wire racks.
