Instructions: Sift flour into large bowl. Add remaining ingredients. Divide the dough into 6 parts. Roll out on floured board to fill 9" pan. Bake at 450 degrees until brown. Filling: Wash apples. Cook and mash. Add sugar and spices. Alternately stack cake layers and apple mixture. This cake is better if it sets a day or two before cutting.
