Ingredients:
Amount Ingredient
4 cup sliced onion
3/4 cup dried breadcrumbs approximately
1/2 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1/2 cup butter melted
Instructions:
Instructions: 1. Peel and slice the onions crosswise into thin rings.

2. Butter a 1 1/2 quart casserole.

3. Alternate layers of sliced onion with bread crumbs, a drizzle of butter, and salt and pepper.

4. Pour the milk over all, cover, and bake in a 325 degree oven for approximately 2 hours or until it is lightly browned and bubbly.

5. Remove the cover and bake for about 5 minutes to brown the top. Do not let it dry out.

NOTES : This is so good. The onions caramelize on the outside while the inside is creamy and tasty.

This can be assembled the day before, refrigerated, and baked the next day.
