Instructions: Cook onions in Tbsp butter until tender & lightly browned. Combine egg & milk. Sift flour & slat & rub in other Tbsp of butter. Stir the liquid into dry ingredients, making a light scone dough. Add onions & half the grated cheese. Divide dough into equal parts & knead each into a round. Place in greased muffin pans & sprinkle with other half of cheese & poppy seeds.
Drizzle the melted butter on tops. Bake 430F for 15 mins until golden brown. Makes 12 muffins. 1 muffin - 1 carbohydrate portion. Email this Recipe:
