1/2 x recipe Basic Pie Crust Dough, see recipe
16 oz Swiss cheese, shredded
2 tbl flour
2 lrg onions, thinly sliced
4 x eggs
1 cup whipping cream
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 dsh Tabasco sauce
1 tsp salt
Instructions:
Instructions: Line a 10-inch pie plate with the pie pastry, trimming and fluting the edge.

Toss the Swiss cheese with flour in a small bowl. Spread evenly over the pie pastry. Separate the onion slices into rings. Arrange over the cheese mixture.

Beat the eggs with the cream, milk, curry powder, nutmeg, Tabasco sauce, salt and pepper. Pour over the cheese and onions.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve warm.

Note:
There is nothing better in the spring when onions are sweet. We use Texas 1015 onions. You may substitute one pint of half-and-half for the milk and whipping cream.
