Comments: It congeals if you cook it long enough, and you can just slice it. Because this apple butter gets hot and there is 20 minutes of continuous stirring time, I recommend wearing gloves when making this recipe. I have a thick pair of mens socks, with the toes cut out, which I put on my arms for extra protection because this apple butter does a lot of popping.
