Instructions: Lay bread slices out overnight to become dry. In a medium bowl, slightly beat egg yolks. Mix in half-and-half, orange juice, orange peel and salt. Dip bread in batter, turning to coat both sides. Heat butter in a large skillet. Cook bread on both sides until golden. Serve with Orange Syrup.
Orange Syrup: Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes. Serve warm or refrigerate and reheat serving. Email this Recipe:
