Instructions: The dough for these cookies can be kept in the refrigerator well wrapped for a week Simply slice off and bake as many biscuits as you require Sieve together flour and baking powder
Cream the margarine sugar and orange rind until light and fluffy Beat in egg Stir in currants and flour until mixture clings together Turn on to lightly floured surface and form into a sausage shape with your hands about 2 in diameter Wrap in foil or waxed paper and chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours To cook biscuits thinly slice off as many as you need and place on greased baking sheets Sprinkle with sugar and bahe in a moderate oven (350 F Gas mark 4) for about 15 minutes Cool on the sheets for about 2 mins then transfer to a wire rack Email this Recipe:
