Instructions: Put mushrooms, water, vinegar, soy sauce and garlic into a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid; cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 15 minutes. Uncover and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half. Add pepper and a splash of sesame oil. Toss with parsley. Serve with toothpicks.
