Instructions: Put water, tamari and spices into a large pot. Bring to a boil. Add sliced onions, stir to coat with liquid and to separate rings. Cook 5 minutes.
Add broccoli, stir to mix. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes. Add tomato wedges. Mix. Cover and cook for just 2 minutes more. Serve at once. Helpful hints: Serve as a vegetable dish or over rice or noodles. For a variation, replace broccoli with other vegetables such as green beans, cauliflower or snow peas.
