Instructions: A thick brown Cantonese style sauce made with oysters this is salty and slightly sweet at the same time. It can be obtained at some supermarkets and delicatessens and at Chinese grocers shops. Once opened the bottle should be stored in the refrigerator.
This thick brown sauce is made from a concentrate of oysters cooked in soy sauce and brine. Despite its name oyster sauce does not taste fishy. It has a rich flavour and is used not only in cooking but as a condiment diluted with a little oil for vegetables poultry or meats.
