Instructions: You will also need 5" square pieces of aluminum foil.
Remove bones and skin from chicken and cut into 2 by 1/2" strips. toss chicken with remaining ingredients. cover and refrigerate one hour. cut green onions into 1-1/2 " strips. Place one piece of foil with one point facing you. place 2 or 3 pieces of chicken slightly below the center of the square. top with a couple of pieces of green onion. fold corner towards you just to cover chicken. fold up once more. fold the sides in. fold top down and tuck under side pieces. without drawing pictures, the easiest way to imagine is making an envelope and then tucking the flap into the envelope instead of sealing it. repeat with remaining chicken. Heat 1-1/2" of oil in a skillet or wok to 350 degrees. fry a few packets at a time, turning several times about 3 or 4 minutes. drain on paper towel and serve. Email this Recipe:
