1 x onions, medium
2 tsp garlic, crushed
1 tbl tomato paste
500 gm whole peeled tomatoes
3 x bayleaf
1 tbl basil, chopped
1 tbl parsley, chopped
salt, pepper
----------------- Italian meatballs: ----------------
500 gm beef, minced
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tsp ginger, crushed
1 tsp parsley, chopped
1 x eggs
salt, pepper
1 tbl vegetable oil
Instructions:
Instructions: Sauce:
Saute the diced onion and garlic in some olive oil. Add the tomatoes and paste. Stir in the seasoning and simmer for 1/2 hour. Add the lemon juice to taste.

*Meatballs:
Combine the beef, bread crumbs, garlic, parsley, basil, egg, and pepper. Mix thoroughly and shape into balls 1 inch in diameter. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Brown the meatballs lightly on all sides; drain off the fat. Add tomato sauce, cover, and simmer 40 minutes. Finish with fresh chopped herbs.

Cook the spaghetti.

Toss meatbas through sauce and serve over spaghetti.
