PASTA ----------------
2 tsp salt
1 lb elbow or long macaroni
1/4 lb butter, OR
1/2 cup olive oil
----------------- WHITE SAUCE ----------------
3 tbl cornstarch
1/2 cup cold water
3 cup milk
1/4 tsp salt
4 x eggs, beaten
----------------- FILLING ----------------
1 lb ground beef or lamb
2 x onions, chopped
1/2 tsp salt
Pepper, to taste
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp oregano
1/2 cup tomato sauce
2 cup hot water
----------------- TOPPING ----------------
2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions:
Instructions: Pasta:
Fill a large pot 3/4 full of water. Bring to rolling boil Add salt and pasta. Cook 10 minutes. Drain in colander. Rinse with hot water.

Filling:
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in skillet. Add meat and onions on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add remaining filling ingredients. Cover. Cook 15 minutes.

White Sauce:
Bring milk and salt to boil. Dilute cornstarch in water and add to milk.

Cook and stir until thickens over medium heat. Beat eggs. Add small amount of hot mixture to eggs and then add eggs to hot mixture and mix thoroughly.

Pour half of the remaining melted butter in square baking pan and swirl over bottom. Add 1/2 of the pasta, spreading evenly. Add meat filling distribute evenly. Sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Add second layer of pasta.

Pour white sauce over top. Sprinkle evenly with remaining cheese, remaining butter, and cinnamon. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Cut into squares and serve.
