2 cup all-purpose flour unsifted
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
Instructions:
Instructions: In a medium bowl, combine
flour and salt. With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut butter and shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle cold water over flour mixture, 1 tablespoon at a time, and mix lightly until pastry holds together when lightly pressed. Shape pastry into 2 equal balls; flatten each ball to 1-inch thickness. Wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
