1 x ikan patin
1 x old Chinese cucumber (timun tua) remove seeds and cut into pieces

20 x sen worth of cili padi
3 x chillies
5 x shallots
1 clv garlic
1/2 x cm fresh turmeric
4 tbl tempoyak (fermented durian paste, available from pasar tani or supermarkets)
4 x sprg daun kesum
2 stalk serai--smash
2 x bunga kantan
2 tbl cooking oil
Instructions:
Instructions: Fry pounded ingredients. Add daun kesum, serai, bunga kantan and enough water for gravy. Cook till gravy thickens.

Add fish and old cucumber. Season with salt and sugar. Lower heat and simmer till fish and cucumber are cooked.
