6 x pears-peeled,cored sliced
2 tbl lemon juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp lemon rind grated
1 x 10" unbaked pastry shell
1 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 cup butter
Instructions:
Instructions: Combine pears and lemon juice in a lg. bowl; toss gently. Sprinkle with 1/2 c. sugar, 1/4 c. flour, and lemon rind; toss well. Arrange pear mixture in pastry shell. Set aside.

Combine 1 c. flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a med. bowl; stir well. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in chopped pecans; sprinkle pecan mixture evenly over pear mixture. Bake at 400 for 25-30 minutes or til pears are tender and crust is golden brown.

Yield: one 10" pie.
