1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 pch salt
6 cup pears sliced
1 tbl lemon juice
Instructions:
Instructions: FILLING: combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and salt. Toss with the pears and sprinkle with the lemon juice. Roll out half of the pastry and fit into a 9" pie pan. spoon in the filling and top with the remaining crust. Seal and flute the crust. Cut vents in the top crust. Bake in a preheated 400 F oven 35 to 40 minutes or until the pears are tender.

If necessary, cover the edges of the pie with foil to prevent excess browning. cool before cutting.
