Instructions: Cut the pears in strips - do not pare - and place in jar with all other dry ingredients including sugar and apple peels. Add alcohol to cover. Steep 2 weeks. Shake the jar every two days to mix the ingredients. Strain and filter. If you like the liqueur sweeter, add sugar syrup in small quantities (about one ounce to 4 ounces liqueur) to establish a sweetness ration. Then add to the whole bottle accordingly. When it tastes perfect, bottle.
