1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 x eggs
1/4 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cardamon (to 1/2 tsp.)
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (to 1/2 tsp.)
1/2 cup chopped peeled pears
2/3 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
Instructions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a mixing bowl, combine sugar and oil. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to sour cream mixture and mix well. Stir in pears, pecans and lemon peel. Spread into a greased 8x4x2-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 65 to 75 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes; remove from pan to a wire rack to cool completely.

Makes 1 loaf.

Kim Says: I love to make quick breads for Christmas. I let my children choose which one they want to give to their teachers. I have several favorites, so my children have a hard time choosing. I love to try different recipes. I have found this to be one of my favorites as it is absolutely delicious tasting. It is very moist and tastes scrumptious.
